Picker Position Summary: Join us as a Picker at our clientu0027s avocado orchards and play a vital role in harvesting Ginger and Avocados, both ground picking or using Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs). Youu0027ll ensure high-quality fruit and maintain strict safety standards.Picker Key Responsibilities:

• Harvest ginger either ground picking
• Inspect ginger for quality and adhere to picking standards.
• Safely operate and maintain picking equipment.
• Transport harvested ginger to collection points.
• Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness.
• Report issues promptly to management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fruit picking or packing.
• Ability to work at heights (Pickers) and operate packing machinery (Packers).
• Understanding of WHS standards and quality control.
• Physical fitness and stamina for manual labor.
• Attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Valid driveru0027s license (desirable).

Performance Goals:

• Meet daily and weekly picking and packing targets.
• Maintain high-quality standards with minimal errors.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols.
• Ensure equipment is well-maintained.

Suitable for Working Holiday Visa holders seeking to complete their regional work. Working couples encouraged to apply together. There is ongoing work available for the right people. Typically, 8-10hr working days, Mon-Fri if weather and conditions allow. Hourly wage is $29.33.
No accommodation is available on site. Accommodation can be found at local caravan parks, motels or pub/hostel.
